LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Library, 28 Main St, recently announced registration for the 2018 “Libraries Rock!” summer reading program has begun. This free program is offered by the library every year, and is open to students entering kindergarten through 12th grade this fall who are residents of Lisbon and Lisbon Falls.
Designed to promote reading for fun, the Lisbon Library offers a series of weekly programs from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
Each program includes crafts, science experiments and other activities that help spark the enjoyment of reading for fun.
A performance by magician Peter Boie at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the MTM Center, followed by rock painting at the Library at 2:15 p.m. will kick off the summer program.
Advance registration is required to attend the kickoff program.
