Cobbosee Stream April 21 cleanup will celebrate alewive return

GARDINER — Upstream, a local nonprofit, will host a fish march and cleanup on Cobbossee Stream, downtown, from 10 a.m. to noon April 21 to celebrate World Fish Migration Day and Earth Day.
Participants may meet on the bridge on Bridge Street and help spread the news about the return of the historic annual run of alewives on Cobbossee Stream and pick up the trash along the banks to keep the stream clean, organizers said.
