Maine Comedy Event to host January shows in Lewiston, Rumford, Gardiner

PORTLAND — The Maine Comedy Event will present shows in Lewiston, Rumford and Gardiner in January, featuring comedians Rob Steen, Nick Lavallee, Greg Boggis and more.

Nationally touring comedian Steen will perform at Johnson Hall in Gardiner on Saturday, Jan. 6, and the Lewiston Elks lodge, Saturday, January 27. at 8 p.m.

New Hamsphire’s Lavallee will perform with Steen in Lewiston, and also perform in Rumford at the Mystic Theater, Saturday, Jan. 13. The Lewiston show, for those 21 or older, will also feature Massachusetts comedian Ralphie Joyal.

In Rumford, Lavallee will be joined by Boston comedian Ben Quick and Portland’s Ian Stuart. The show, for those 18 and older, begins at 8 p.m.

In Gardiner, Steen will be joined by New Hampshire’s Boggis, Portland’s Ali Simpson, and host Mark Turcotte. The doors open at 7 p.m. Johnson Hall is at 280 Water St., and the show is for those 21 and older.
