Christopher W. Morin, a Maine Authors Publishing member, returns at 6 p.m. Jan. 24 to share “Three Labs a Lifetime,” a memoir of his childhood dogs, filled with funny and sad stories chronicling their lives. A gifted storyteller, animal lovers will appreciate his humor and delivery.
A history enthusiast born, raised and currently residing in Portland, he received his B.A. in journalism from the University of Maine at Orono. He is also the author of two novels, “A Tale of Life & War” and “The Rebel’s Wrath” and a short story, “The Besieged.”

Bruce Robert Coffin, a former detective sergeant with 27 years in law enforcement, will be speaking about his novel, his career and his writing at 7 p.m. Feb. 7 (snow date Feb. 28).
At his time of retirement from the Portland Police Department, he supervised all homicide and violent crime investigations for Maine’s largest city. Following the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Bruce spent four years working counter-terrorism with the FBI, earning the Director’s Award, the highest honor a non-agent can receive.
He is the author of the Maine Sunday Telegram No. 1 bestselling novel “AMONG THE SHADOWS,” his debut and first in the Detective Byron Mystery Series from HarperCollins, the short story “Fool Proof” in Level Best Books, “Best New England Crime Stories 2016: Red Dawn” and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s “Best American Mystery Stories 2016,” alongside such noted authors as Stephen King, Megan Abbott and Elmore Leonard.
