OXFORD — After many renovations this summer and the addition of an indoor seating area, The Lost Gull — for the first time in its history — will remain open year round.
Now in their second season as new owners, Todd and Joi MacDonald and their family say they are excited and proud to be able to continue to serve their many loyal customers fresh seafood at the local landmark throughout the coming fall and winter months.
The Lost Gull, on Route 26 near Welchville Junction, is a popular destination for both locals and visitors to the area.
Seafood lovers come from far and wide to the Oxford Hills to experience the taste of seafood like you’d find at some of the best coastal establishments in Maine.
No matter the time of day, one will hear praises of a delicious meal and generous portions at affordable prices. Once you enter the Lost Gull, you will feel at home. The family appreciates every person who walks through the door, and they will go above and beyond to make you happy.

Popular menu items include fresh Maine lobster rolls, fresh crab rolls, fresh fried Maine clams (bellies or not), fried, grilled or baked haddock and salmon as well as fabulous homemade sides including their famous battered green pepper rings, hand cut and fresh battered onion rings, Lost Gull crab cakes, or lobster, clam or haddock chowders. Of course, there are the super combo plates — chicken tenders or burgers — and a kids’ menu, too.
You can eat in or take out at the Lost Gull.There is both indoor and outdoor seating and the convenience of restrooms, added this summer.
