LITCHFIELD — The Kennebec Land Trust will host a guided nature walk at the Small-Burnham Conservation Area at 9:30 a.m., Saturday Sept. 30.
The Smalls and the Burnhams have lived and worked on the land since the 1840s. There are many interesting natural and historical features on the property, according to the land trust.
The walk is part of the Great Maine Outdoors Weekend. The Great Maine Outdoors Weekend is a biannual series of events led by outdoor oriented organizations and companies to celebrate the how, where, and what of being active outside in Maine. Their goal is to connect our friends and neighbors with the natural world, to promote fun, physical activity and good health.
The nature walk is free and open to the public, no registration necessary.
