Marcus Christopher led the way with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Garrett McSweeney added 7 points and 5 rebounds to pace Skowhegan. But Hampden wins the season opener 64-31. Joadel Mora added 4 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

HAMPDEN JV’S WIN 52-34. Kiel LaChapelle scored 12 points, and grabbed 4 boards. Hunter Washburn added 8 points, to lead the Indians but Hampden wins this one 52-34. Other notables were Matush Prokop with 4 points and 6 rebounds, Chase Carey with 6 boards and 5 steals. Eli Montanez added 6 boards as well.

Braden McCarty scored a team high 6 points. Kyle Kruse added 5 points, 5 boards and 2 assists. Carter Hunt chipped in 3 points and 12 boards to lead the freshman. But Hampden wins 47-19. Zeb Tibbetts chipped in 8 boards for Skowhegan.

BREWER OVERCOMES STORM, DEFEATS SKOWHEGAN 53-46 IN VARSITY ACTION.

Brendan Curran scored 16 points, had 5 boards, 3 assists and 2 steals. Cam Barnes added 8 points. Garrett McSweeney added 8 points, 10 boards, a steal and a blocked shot to pace Skowhegan, but Brewer wins this one 53-46. 15 seconds into the start of the 1st quarter, an issue with the clock delayed play for a while. Afterwards, Skowhegan started out strong outscoring Brewer 24-8 after one period. Joadel Mora pulled down 11 rebounds. Marcus Christopher added 4 assists.

Chase Carey and Matush Prokop each scored 6 points for Skowhegan. Hunter Washburn added 5, and Kiel LaChapelle chipped in 4. But Brewer wins 38-29 in JV action. LaChapelle added 5 boards. Carey chipped in 7 boards, 3 assists and 5 steals. Prokop added 4 boards, an assist and a steal. Tyler Elliott added 5 boards, and Washburn closed out the stat sheet with 7 boards and 2 assists.

Carter Hunt scored 6 points, cleaned the glass 5 times, had an assist and pickpocketed 5 Brewer Witches. Braden McCarty scored 4 points, had 4 rebounds and 2 steals. But Brewer wins this one 43-19. Zeb Tibbetts had 7 boards and 5 steals. Cade Washburn added 2 assists and 4 steals.

Kiel LaChapelle had his best game of the season by recording a double double by halftime. Kiel ended up with 16 points, and 17 rebounds to lead the way as the Skowhegan JV’s defeated Erskine 40-38. Hunter Washburn added 12 points. Carter Hunt added 6. Matush Prokop added 5 boards.

Chase Carey scored a team high 16 points, had 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Alex Higgins added a season high 13 points with 4 boards, 2 assists and a steal to pace the Indians to a 55-48 win over MCI. Hunter Washburn added 9 rebounds, Carter Hunt chipped in 5 boards and 3 assists.

Matush Prokop pulled down 6 boards to close the stat sheet out.
