AUGUSTA — U.S. Sen. Susan Collins has announced Kyrie Johnson, a Farmingdale native, has been awarded a summer internship in her Augusta office. Johnson is 2014 graduate of Hall-Dale High School and the daughter of Michelle Johnson and Lou Johnson of Farmingdale.
“It is always a pleasure to give Mainers an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine,” said Senator Collins. “Kyrie is a hard worker with an impressive record of achievement, and I am delighted to welcome her to my Augusta office.”
Johnson is entering her senior year at Wheaton College. She is currently majoring in economics, with a minor in anthropology. Upon graduation, Johnson intends to apply to the Japan Exchange and Teaching program, which places young professionals in teaching and translation opportunities in cities and towns throughout Japan.
