Maine Dental Boutique opens in Winthrop

WINTHROP — Kim Morgan Fichthorn is opening the Maine Dental Boutique downtown in the Old Mill, 16 Commerce Plaza.
The independent dental hygiene office is made possible after Maine passes a law allowing dental hygienists to own and operate independent dental hygiene offices. Fichthorn has more than 20 years practicing as a registered dental hygienist in a five-star cosmetic dental office in Austin, Texas.

She has written more than 22 professional dental articles and co-owned and taught at the Dental Essentials School of Dental Assisting in Austin from 2003-2017.

After moving to Maine last year to be near family, she wanted to open her own spa-like dental hygiene office and continue to pamper patients like she has the in past. That’s when she upgraded her dental hygiene license to become an independent dental hygiene practitioner. She treats patients of all ages for their preventative dental care needs such as routine teeth cleanings, periodontal cleanings, fluoride treatments and sealants. She said patients can expect the highest standard of care in a modern, relaxing and non-intimidating environment, and to be pampered as well.
Maine Dental Boutique caters to patients with busy lifestyles who value a prompt, efficient service and short-notice booking options while keeping the costs to clients as low as possible.

She said patients without insurance are welcome, and most patients find her fees reasonable.

New patients and walk-ins are welcome welcome. She is open from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Patients can book online at www.MaineDentalBoutique.com.

Patients who mention they read about her in the Lakes Region Reader get $10 off their first cleaning.
