SeniorsPlus April schedule set
LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus has announced its April class schedule.
Classes are held in person at its Lewiston, 8 Falcon Road; Wilton, 284 Main St., Suite 210; and Norway, 9 Marson Road. Some classes and workshops are also available online. Classes are free, unless noted. Locations are fully accessible. Hearing assistive equipment is available upon request.

The April schedule includes:
Wowzitude Travel series, with virtual “walks” at locations around the world, is held at 10 a.m. every other Tuesday in Wilton and Norway (alternating between locations), and 2 p.m. every Tuesday in
Wilton will feature Burano, Italy on April 11; Berlin, Germany on April 25.
Norway’s visits will include Oxford, England, on April 4; and Granada, Spain, on April 18.
Lewiston visits are Mexico City on April 4; Chicago on April 11; Mystery Trip on April 18; Ireland on April 25.
Wilton offers Walk-in Tech Assistance from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 6, 13, 20 and 27, with facilitator Paul Haberstroh. The assistance is for anyone who needs assistance with a device like a phone, tablet, or laptop or help with email or Zoom.
BYO Craft and Chat is 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 20, and every third Thursday of the month. Bring knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, painting, anything you enjoy. Relax and socialize while working on your project.
Opening Minds through Art is 1 to 2 p.m. every Friday through April 28, at SeniorsPlus Wilton, with future sessions set for Norway and Lewiston. OMA strives to bring joy, art, and pride to people living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. People with dementia are paired one on one with trained volunteers who help them create art using imagination instead of memory. It is scheduled for Norway May 19 through June 23 and Lewiston July 14 through Aug. 18.
Lewiston programs in April include an Animal Fostering Information Session, weekly knitting group, Identifying Frauds and Scams, Legal Planning for Aging Adults, Living Well with Diabetes and more.
Norway game day is 1 to 3 p.m. every third Tuesday. Participants may play cribbage, checkers, trivia, cards, or a jigsaw puzzle. Staff will be on hand to network and talk about programs.
Exercise classes include Total Strength and Balance and Chair Yoga in-person and Zoom.
There are also support groups for caregivers, held in Lewiston, Norway, and Wilton. Kinship support groups are also held monthly in Wilton.
