MADRID – Reeds Mill Church will hold a service on Easter Sunday, April 9, for the first time in recent history.
There are no known records citing when the last Easter service was held at the church. This year’s 2 p.m. service will visit the events of Holy Week through scriptures, stories, and songs, beginning with the story of Christ’s entrance into the Holy City and moving through to the resurrection.
All are welcome at the service. The church is at 995 Reeds Mill Road.
The historic “Church in the Wildwood,” is much the same as it was when it held its first service Dec. 2, 1892, with no electricity or modern amenities. Please dress for the weather.
