Maine Women’s Veterans Town Hall on toxic substance exposure is Feb. 15

AUGUSTA – VA Maine Healthcare System is hosting a Woman Veterans Town Hall and Public Forum from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, on the new PACT Act, which expands coverage to veterans exposed to toxic chemicals.
The meeting is being held online, and is open to all female veterans in Maine who’d like to discuss health concerns and learn about the toxic exposure screening process, expanded eligibility and local resources. The PACT Act, passed in 2022, expands VA health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange and other toxic substances.
