Romance fraud Feb. 14 Food for Thought topic

LEWISTON – Lewiston/Auburn Senior College Food for Thought will host Grace McCarthy who will speak about romance fraud Feb. 14, the third in a trio of presentations from AARP’s Fraud Watch Network.
The presentation will be in-person 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the college, 51 Westminster St., as well as on Zoom.
McCarthy is a former police officer who attended the FBI National Academy, and also worked in L.L. Bean security. She retired after 23 years as a senior analyst having spent the majority of her time investigating internal/external fraud. She is a member of the Bowdoinham Committee on Aging, a volunteer for People Plus in Brunswick, and a frequent presenter for AARP’s Fraud Watch Network.
McCarthy spoke in November on the most popular fraud schemes.
