In-person, online classes, activities scheduled at Cancer Resource Center

NORWAY – The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has a variety of free in-person and virtual classes and activities set for the coming weeks.
Programs are open to anyone impacted by cancer, including patients, survivors and caregivers. Those attending in-person programs are asked to wear a mask.
Weekly public drop in is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, with appointments available on other days.
A new nutrition class series, Good Food for Good Health, will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday Jan. 19 through Feb. 9, at the resource center, 59 Winter St. The classes are being held in partnership with the Dempsey Center. They are also available online and streaming. Registration is required.
Weekly online classes require pre-registration. They include “Mind full of Good” meditation, 9-9:30 a.m. Monday and “A Mindful Hour” – mindful-based stress reduction, 9-10 a.m. Thursday.
Weekly in-person classes include:
Chair Yoga in Bridgton, 10-11 a.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Friday, Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St. Bridgton, taught by Susan Kane, for all skill levels, no registration required.
Strength & Balance for Cancer Wellness, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Rush Fitness, 141 Western Ave. South Paris, a full-body workout class led by Lori Britting, tailored to the comfort level and ability of each individual to maintain mobility and strength. Registration requied.
Craft & Chat, 1-2 p.m. at the center. All supplies are provided, masks are required. No pre-registration is required.
Chair Yoga, 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the center,. Registration required.
Special monthly groups include a Women’s Support Group and Coffee Hour and Men’s Rally Group.
