LEWISTON – Winners of the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society annual Cold Paws, Warm Heart raffle have been announced.
The humane society raised more than $15,000 with the fundraiser, and all proceeds benefit the nonprofit humane society.
Winners are Nancy West, of Shrewsbury, Vermont, $500 home heating assistance and a handmade quilt; Billy Ladd, of Augusta, $300 home heating assistance; Rosita Friel, of Buckfield, $200 home heating assistance; Amanda Strout, of Minot, $100 home heating assistance.
The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, 55 Strawberry Ave., provides a safe haven for more than 3,500 sick, homeless and abused animals in the greater Androscoggin area year. The primary support for the shelter comes from fundraising events and donations from individuals.
