Stovers recognized for positive impact on RSU 16 community

Friends of Regional School Unit 16, which comprises school and community members, recognized Don and Suzie Stover (left and center) for their support and advocacy for RSU 16 students and programs, as the two are moving to another community. Mary Martin, RSU school board chair, right, presented the two with a token of appreciation for their positive community impact. Suzie Stover was a beloved third grade teacher at Elm Street School, in Mechanic Falls, and continues to support literacy through preschool story hours and volunteer tutoring. Don has been an active member of Poland Conservation Commission and strong supporter of land preservation and outdoor recreation. They will be missed in the RSU 16 schools and communities.
