Christmas carol sing-along, talk is Dec. 18

RANGELEY — Christmas in the Air – a sing-along and presentation about the history and stories of Christmas carols and songs of the season – will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Church of the Good Shepherd, 2614 Main St.
The evening will be led by Robert Ludwig, director of music at Good Shepherd. There is no admission charge or donation and the program is suitable for all ages.
The event will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Gene Autrey’s “Here Comes Santa Claus,” as well as cover other facts about familiar music, such as the first Christmas song heard in outer space. Ludwig will share entertaining stories about sacred and secular songs of the season and lead everyone in an inspirational and fun singing of popular holiday songs. Favorites can be requested.
