Winthrop Maine Historical Society plans busy December

WINTHROP – The Winthrop Maine Historical Society plans a busy December.
The History and Heritage Center, 107 Main St., will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Friday, with free gift wrapping available for gift shop purchases. Gift wrapping for outside purchases will be available by donation.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, WMHS will participate in the annual Winthrop Holiday Parade. After the parade, Santa will be at the center until 6 p.m. for photo ops. Donations are appreciated.
On Saturday, Dec. 10, the society will host the Christmas Through the Ages tour, a ticketed event, with limited tickets available. The tour will include visiting five different locations close to the center and learning about what life was like during the Moravian, Colonial, Victorian, wartime 1940s and post-war 1950s eras.
There will be a cookie walk at the center from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Homemade cookies and goodies will be for sale.
Gentleman’s Night in the gift shop will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23. Stop in and shop at the last minute.
