MidCoast Humane gets $5,000 donation from Helping Our Neighbors campaign

Oct. 152022

AUBURN — MidCoast Humane in Brunswick has received a $5,000 donation from Maine Source Homes & Realty’s Helping Our Neighbors campaign.
The shelter is the fourth of six selected nonprofit beneficiaries the Auburn company is supporting in 2022. Midcoast Humane has, over the past 62 years, become one of Maine’s largest animal shelters. The organization provides loving care and second chances to nearly 3,500 animals every year and assists hundreds more in a variety of life-enhancing ways. That level of care — backed by Midcoast Humane’s passionate belief that every life is precious and worth saving —h as resulted in a 97% live-release rate.
On Sept. 20, Jon Mercier, designated broker/Realtor at Maine Source Homes & Realty, and Linda Dupuis, broker/Realtor, presented the donation check.
The “Helping Our Neighbor Campaign” is funded by Maine Source Homes & Realty’s team of Realtors, as well as by the company’s clients. For every house closing the company assists clients with during a given two-month, the company donates $100 to one of the six beneficiary charities/nonprofits. In turn, Maine Source Homes & Realty then asks the selling or buying Realtor, along with the client, if they would like to match the donation.
