BELGRADE – The Kennebec Valley BSA are hosting Haunted Woods, day of Halloween-themed activities for Cub Scouts and their families, as well as families interested in Cub Scouting, at Camp Bomazeen.
Participants may come in costume, join in the games and fun and get a treat.
The event is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, at Camp Bomazeen, 656 Horse Point Road. Cost is $7 a person. Register at scoutingevent.com/218-hauntedwoods2022 or pay at the gate (cash only). Walk-ins are welcome.
All youth must be accompanied by responsible adults. Bring food and personal care items for the food pantry.
The event includes sports and games, shooting sports, crafts, pumpkin decorating (pumpkins $5), cooking, concession stand, trading post, hayrides nd special guests.
The schedule is:
10:30 a.m. – registration/check-in
11 a.m.-4 p.m. – activities
4:15 p.m. – closing ceremony
Camp Bomazeen is a chemical free location. Licensed service animals are welcome, but no pets.
