LISBON – The Sabattus Rec Running Club won its third Greater L/A Triple Crown 5K event Aug. 28, to sweep the three races this summer.
The Sabattus team placed five of the first 16 runners in the L/A Bridge Run 5K to take the title. Sabattus also won the YMCA Fit Fest and the Emily’s Run 5K earlier this year.
Sabattus, celebrating the 10th year of its running program, took the titles with several different runners over the three races. Kyle Simmons, Jake Norris, Todd Michaud, Owen Vincent, Wes Danforth, Rick Blanchette and Molly Schassberger were all instrumental in the group’s success.
