BRIDGTON — Rufus Porter Museum of Art and Ingenuity is among the museums that will offer admission free of charge on Saturday, Sept. 17, as part of Smithsonian magazine’s annual Museum Day.
The annual event allows museums, zoos and cultural centers from all 50 states to emulate the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C.-based museums, which offer free admission every day.
Participants must download Museum Day tickets from for download www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/museum-day-2022/rufus-porter-museum/tickets. The Rufus Porter Museum tickets are valid for admittance to two at the museum, 121 Main St. One ticket is permitted per email address.
