HALLOWELL — Auditions for Gaslight Theater’s fall show, “The Stranger,” will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Hallowell City Hall, 1 Winthrop St.
“The Stranger” is an adaptation by Agatha Christie of her short story “Philomel Cottage.” The play centers around Enid Bradshaw, who breaks her seven-year engagement to Dick Lane in favor of marrying the charming Gerald Strange, whom she has known for an afternoon. Things are not always what they seem, of course.
The show is two acts, with parts for four women and two men. Auditions are cold readings. Show dates are the weekends of Nov. 11-13 and 18-20. Those auditioning must bring proof of COVID-19 vaccination. to auditions.
