LEWISTON — The Lewiston Public Library and MaineTransNet Youth are joining up to host monthly tabletop role-playing sessions in person in the LPL teen space. All supplies will be provided, and no previous RPG experience is required. Sessions will run from 3 to 5 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month from September through December, with the first session Sept. 20. The library is at 200 Lisbon St.
The program is open to teens ages 13 to 19 and is a safe space for everyone, regardless of race, color, creed, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, ancestry, national origin or physical or mental ability. Discrimination, hate speech and harassment will not be tolerated.
MaineTransNet is a community-based organization led by transgender people for transgender people. They provide peer-to-peer support groups, social and community events, advocacy for the transgender community across Maine, and transgender cultural competency training for medical, mental health, and social service providers.
