TURNER — Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations will be the Music for Mavis performers on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Turner Gazebo, 98 Matthews Way.
The group includes Pat Colwell on guitar and vocals, Julie Ouellette on vocals, Laura Hudson on vocals, Ronnie Bouffard on drums and vocals, Dave Thibodeau on bass and vocals, Robin Worthley on keyboards, Carlos Hayes Jr. on tenor saxophone, Blake Peachey on trumpet and Will Martin on saxophone.
The group brings a mix of Motown/Memphis Soul in a 100% old-school R&B revue, covering classics from Sam and Dave, the Supremes, Wilson Pickett, Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, Prince, Bruno Mars and more.
The performance is free, but the hat will be passed to pay the musicians, with a suggested donation of $10-15. Bring a chair, bring a blanket — the show happens rain or shine.
