Heather Pierson Duo is Aug. 9 performer at Auburn Anniversary Park free music series

AUBURN — The Heather Pierson Duo will perform at the city’s Summer of ’22 Anniversary Park Acoustic Music Series at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9.
The performance is free and open to the public. Anniversary Park, formerly Andy’s Park, is on Pulsifer Street in New Auburn.
Hailing from New Hampshire’s Mount Washington Valley, Pierson is a pianist, singer/songwriter, and performe, who performs with bassist/partner Shawn Nadeau. Their repertoire includes Americana, jazz, blues and folk.
In 2020, Pierson had a viral hit in March with her “Toilet Paper Song,” and released both a single, “Beside The Firelight,” about the death of George Floyd, and a collection of original meditation chants, “Be Here Now.” Since March 2020, she has been live-streaming concerts from her home every week, leading online community sings and posting every Monday to her “Dispatches” blog. Her latest collection of original chants and rounds, “Wishes of Lovingkindness,” was released on Feb. 14.
