Lovell fiber artist is Gallery 302 featured guest in August

BRIDGTON — Clora Hamilton, a fiber artist, is the featured guest artist at Gallery 302 until Sept. 1.
A reception will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Gallery 302, 112 Main St. Hamilton will talk about her her creative process, some of her work and her experiences with textiles.
Hamilton, a Lovell summer resident, has been creating all of her life. In junior high school, she was inspired by her grandmother’s gift of yarn and needles, from which she created a knitted dress. Ever since, she has been adventuring with fiber on projects inspired by beautiful places, texture and the energy she feels in colors. Preferring 3-D art, there are few areas Hamilton is unwilling to explore with experimentation and creativity. Her work is always evolving according to her whims and life experiences. Her next project is inspired by some yard sale braided rugs with non-braided centers, which are waiting for her inspiration.
The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
