BRIDGTON — The Maine Senior Games Table Tennis Tournament will return to Bridgton Town Hall on Sunday, Aug. 14.
The tournament will start at 10 a.m. at the town hall, 26 North High St.
Last year, the Maine Senior Games had its most successful event in history, and hopes to do even better this year.
Anyone 45 or older who plays table tennis can participate. Players compete in five-year age categories – 45-50, 50-55, 55-60, etc. Participants may sign up for singles, doubles or mixed doubles by filling out an application online or printing out a paper version.
Information on the tournament, including entry fees, can be found at maine.fusesport.com/registration/1651. Players are required to wear sneakers. Entry fee includes receiving a T-Shirt in your size. There is a supply of paddles and balls for participants who need them.
Bridgton Town Hall is one of the best table tennis venues in Maine, with four good quality tables, newly refinished hard wood floors, LED lighting, high ceilings, bathrooms and plenty of parking. Organizers want to thank the town and Recreation Director Gary Colello for their support.
Those who want to practice, or just play and have fun, may join sessions from 1 to 4 p.m. every Sunday at Town Hall, 26 North High St.
