Maine-ly Harmony sings for veterans as in-person events come back

Jul. 82022

AUGUSTA — Maine-ly Harmony women’s barbershop chorus performed at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta on June 29, in an outdoor concert.
While the weather allowed the outdoor performance, insuring the welfare of the residents, the usual interaction with the veterans following the concert was not yet possible. Chorus members look forward to the end of COVID-based restrictions some time in the future, so concert-goers and members can enjoy more interaction.
The chorus is resuming its performance schedule as the year progresses, including their annual yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 15 and 16, at Fred and Linda Davis’ Hill Gardens on Route 3, in Palermo, where blooms and singing abound.
“Singing Together Again,”a blockbuster performance of barbershop music performed by Maine-ly Harmony and the Nor’easters barbershop men chorus at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, South Parish Congregational Church, 9 Church St.
The chorus welcomes women and girls interested in becoming members to join rehearsals, held 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Randolph United Methodist Church, 16 Asbury St., Randolph.
