GAHS announces Annual Summer Raffle winners

LEWISTON – The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society has announced the winners of its Annual Summer Raffle.
The raffle raised more than $12,000 for the Humane Society.
Winners are Sherry Bellmore, of Lewiston, $500 cash; Cynthia Peters, of Lewiston, $300 cash; Nancy Couture, of Jay, $200 cash; Dorothy Bowyer, of Auburn, $100 cash. All proceeds from the raffle directly benefit the Humane Society.
The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, at 55 Strawberry Ave., provides a safe haven for more than 3,000 sick, homeless and abused animals in the greater Androscoggin area a year. The primary support for the shelter comes from fundraising events and individual donations.
