STRONG – The Porter Lake Association is sponsoring Red Cross swimming lessons at the Strong Public Beach (Beanie Beach) from July 11 to 22.
Participants may register at the Strong or New Vineyard town offices. The lessons are free for children living in Strong and New Vineyard, or summer visitors staying in either town.
The association is also holding its annual Bean Hole Bean Supper at Strong Public Beach at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. The supper raises money for the swim program. Rain location is Forster Memorial Building in Strong.
