Ladd-McVey is WMAG June artist of month

NORWAY — The Western Maine Art Group’s Artist of the Month in June is Connie Ladd-McVey, of Auburn.
Ladd-McVey’s work will be featured at the Main Street Gallery, 426 Main St.
Ladd-McVey after 40 years in commercial art, retired and expanded her art studio time to include more landscape drawing and painting. She has been working for many years in developing her individual style of painting that fits her interpretation of each art piece. While living in Maine, she finished her education with a BFA degree from the University of Southern Maine in 2012.
She works in her Pond Lily Art Studio, and exhibiting her work at the Main Street Art Gallery and at Greenwood Art Gallery. She had taught several art classes as an adjunct at CMCC. During the fall and summer seasons, she exhibits atlocal art fairs and shows.
The Main Street Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
