LIVERMORE FALLS – The Treat Memorial Library Summer Reading Program 2022 “Oceans of Possibilities,” starts Tuesday, June 21.
The program has prizes and readers can track their reading online or get a reading log from the library. For each book or half-hour read, readers earn a non-perishable food item for the food bank.
Readers also get a chance to solve the ocean-themed mystery for a chance to win a treasure chest. Watch for clues on the library’s Beanstack site, Facebook and at the library every Thursday during Summer Reading. The first clue will be dropped on Thursday, June 23.
In partnership with the program, Merfolk Craft Night is 6 p.m. Thursday, June 23. Paint and glitter some under the sea accessories and walk the blue carpet with your creations. At 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, play Whale of Fortune. Both events are outdoors will take place weather permitting. Check Facebook for updates. The programs are free and open to the public.
Also this month at the library:
Story Time is at 10:30 Wednesday, held outdoors (weather permitting). Story Time includes picture books, sing-a-longs and a home craft. Status will be updated every Wednesday morning on Facebook. If outdoors Store Time isn’t possible, it will be held online.
Book Club will hold a hybrid meeting (both Zoom and in person) at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 9. This month’s book is “Daisy Jones and the Six,” by Taylor Jenkins Reid, part of the Count on Books series (books with numbers in the title). Let staff know if you would like a copy of the book up for discussion.

The library will be closed Saturday, June 18, in observance of Juneteenth.
