Plant identification workshop is June 28

WINTHROP – A plant identification workshop on June 28 will be the first in a series of three field workshops that are part of Kennebec Land Trust’s 2022 Lyceum, “Maine Medicinal Plants: Cultural Uses, Ecology and Botany.”
Eric Doucette, an associate professor of biology at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and past president of the Maine Josselyn Botanical Society, will present the workshop, which is at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Camp Bearnstow in Mount Vernon. Doucette will focus on Maine medicinal plants, common lookalikes, and books used for plant identification.
Space is limited so registration is required. There is a $5 registration fee.
