Augusta Little League season opens

Opening Day ceremonies for Augusta Little League were held on Saturday, May 14, at Linscott Field, in Augusta. The Cony High School Baseball Team welcomed the players on to the field, including Brownies team member Isaac Provisor (below); Augusta Mayor Mark O’Brien threw out the first pitch. Augusta Little League includes teams from Augusta, Chelsea, China, Belgrade, Manchester, Mount Vernon, Oakland, Palermo, Readfield, Sidney, Waterville, Wayne, Whitefield, Windsor, Winslow, Winthrop and Vassalboro.
