RANGELEY – The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has two big shows scheduled for July – the Annual RFA Summer DIVA Show and a fundraising concert featuring Center Stage – Motown Revue.
The Annual RFA Summer DIVA Show will be held at 7 p.m. July 1, 2, 4 and 5 at the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St.
Local talented ladies and gentlemen will present musical favorites in an evening of non-stop entertainment – a unique Rangeley event not to be missed – and will be held at the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St in Rangeley.
Attendees may choose between cabaret tables or auditorium seating.
On Thursday, July 14, an evening in support of Rangeley Friends of the Arts begins with private cocktail receptions at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dessert reception with cash bar, and, the highlight of the evening, a concert featuring: Center Stage – Motown Revue, at the RFA Lakeside Theater.
Center Stage – Motown Revue features the music of The Temptations, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, The Spinners, Smokey Robinson and more. It includes a magical vocal blend and original choreographed dance routines, combined with a live, funky band. The three front men—Darryl Carter, Donald McCall and Irving Lewis—have toured the country for 30 years with their nine-piece Motown show band, entertaining audiences as large as 30,000.
All proceeds from this event go toward improvements to the theater’s facade.
