Augusta Scout earns Catholic honor

May. 42022

Tristan Morton, Pack 603, was recognized by the Catholic Council on Scouting at a Mass at St. Mary Church, in Augusta, on April 27. The Mass was led by the Rev. John Skehan and attended by the students of St. Michael School, where Tristan is in the fourth grade. After blessing the award, Skehan pinned Tristan with the second of four Parvuli Dei (children of God) medals that follow Catholic Scouts as they mature in the understanding of the church and their faith. Reverence is one of the 12 moral elements of Scouting. Pack 603 is chartered at the American Legion Post 205, Augusta. (Submitted photo)
