HEBRON — Peter Hammond, of Norway, will speak to the Hebron Historical Society on battlefield life the Civil War at the society’s May meeting.
The event is free and open to the public, and will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at the Hebron Town Office, 351 Route 119.
In April, guest speaker Jessie Yancy spoke about planting, growing and harvesting lavender on her Hebron farm. She explained how the distillation process of the cut plants resulted in various sellable products from the concentrated essential oil to more diluted hydrosol forms for spray applications. She also packages dry lavender for sale in jars.
