Fiber artist Worthington is first 2022 Gallery 302 guest artist

BRIDGTON – Fiber artist Catherine Worthington is the first guest artist of the season at Gallery 302, 112 Main St.
Worthington’s show, “Textile Translations of Maine” will run from May 4- June 10.
The gallery will host a reception featuring Worthington’s work from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 6.
Worthington earned a BFA from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and is a full-time artist, recently retiring from work running an art program for adults with disabilities. Her creative process involves painting on cloth and composing art quilts as well as designing and creating original textiles.
Besides creating art, Worthington teaches surface design classes and workshops in her mid-coast Maine community and beyond. Her art quilts are part of many private collections and she has been exhibiting her work for 22 years throughout Maine, New England and Florida. Her work has found a permanent residence in three hospitals in Maine as well as a local church. She is a member of Designing Women, Harlow Gallery, Maine Crafts Association – Guild level, and Maine Fiber Arts.
The gallery is open noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
