The Central Maine Community College women’s basketball team was feted at the Maine State House April 12, welcomed by Gov. Janet Mills. CMCC won the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Championship, their third national title in the last five years. They were joined by Southern Maine Community College men’s team (below), which won the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Championship, the Sea Wolve’s first national title in the program’s 76-year history. “These victories are the result of hard work, dedication, and perseverance,” Mills said.
