Lewiston’s Canal/Centerville garage to be closed for four weeks beginning April 20

LEWISTON — Starting Wednesday, April 20, the Canal Street/Centerville Parking Garage will be closed for approximately four weeks for repairs.
There will be no vehicle access in or out of the garage during that period. Those who used the garage must remove their vehicle before April 20. Vehicles that remain in the parking garage during that period may be accessed but cannot be moved.
It is recommended that the Chestnut Street Parking Garage be used as an alternative during repairs, but all other parking garages will also be available for use. In addition, paid parking on Canal Street will be available at no charge, and parking meters will be covered. Also, eight on-street parking spaces on Ash and Canal streets will be designated for handicapped-accessible parking.
