Leavitt champions recognized at Maine State House

Leavitt Area High School students and their coaches were recognized in the Senate Chamber at Maine State House March 31. Several students were recognized by both chambers of the Legislature for their athletic achievements. The field hockey team, which won the Class B State Championship., was also recognized. Students recognized individually were Jade Haylock (front, third from right), who won the Girls Class B State Golf Championship; Jon Schomaker (front, center), who won the wheelchair division of the State Cross Country Championship. Logan Ouellette, runner-up at the Class B Cross Country State Championship, who is not pictured, was also recognized.
