LEWISTON — The USM LAC Senior College will offer some in-person course this spring, as well as a variety of course on Zoom.
Those attending in-person classes at the campus, 51 Westminster St., will be required to wear masks at all times, and show proof of vaccination the first day of class. For registration and course information, visit usm.maine.edu/seniorcollege.
USM LAC Senior College is open to anyone 50 and over. Courses are peer taught, with no entrance requirements, grades or tests. Annual membership is $25,and one-week classes are free to members; full courses are $10.
Some of the Zoom classes being offered are “Working on Wikitree,” “Is ‘The Afterlife’ Unscientific Poppycock?” “Living Well With Diabetes” and “Games Galore-Pictionary Challenge.”
Some of the in-person classes are “Genealogical Foundations,” “Chicago Exposition 1893,” “Male Singers- Songwriters,” “Mark Twain: Non-Fiction Works 1852-1890” and “Perennial Gardening.”
