LEWISTON — The Lewiston Public Library will post a video demonstration on how to make two types of origami hearts on Monday, Feb. 7. It will be available for viewing online via the library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
In addition to the video demo, origami heart take and make kits will be available for free to pickup at the library, 200 Lisbon St. This program is free and directed towards adults and teens.
The video will show viewers how to make hearts with wings and love note hearts using the Japanese art of paper folding, origami. After it’s posted on Feb. 7, it will be available for viewing indefinitely on the library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Each take and make kit will include origami paper, written instructions, and a special list of book recommendations on love, romance and relationships from LPL staff. The kits are available beginning Feb. 7 and will remain while supplies last, or until Monday, Feb. 28.
Visit the library’s lending desk to pick up a kit or call 207-513-3134 to pick one up using LPL To Go. Participants are encouraged to share their work on social media using the hashtag #LPLValentines.
