Bakers, plant growers needed for Starling Hall fundraisers

Jan. 172022

FAYETTE – Friends of Starling Hall is looking for growers for the plant sale and bakers for the Irish Dinner – both events will benefit the ongoing restoration of Starling Hall.
Apple pies and Irish cakes are needed for the annual Irish Dinner, which will be held Saturday, March 12, at Starling Hall, 2769 Route 17.
The dinner, traditional St. Patrick’s Day corned beef and cabbage, will be take-out or sit-down. Bakers are needed to make desserts – apple pie and Irish cakes – that can be easily used to pack up for takeout. They must be brought to the hall by 3 p.m. March 12.
Plant enthusiasts are needed to grow annuals and perennials for purchase at the annual plant sale, which will be Saturday, May 21. Seeds and plant cups will be available very soon for those who can help, and will be dropped off at your home. You would plant the seeds and provide care to establish healthy varieties of flowers. Plants will be picked up by a volunteer the week of May 15.
Contact Joy at 207-685-4546 if you can contribute a dessert or can be a grower.
