WINTHROP — The Winthrop Maine Historical Society is searching for the oldest house in Winthrop. Those who think their house may qualify can submit a nomination, with name and contact information, to the society by March 1.
The society’s mailing address is P.O. Box 33, Winthrop, ME 04364. Nominations can also be dropped off in person at the Winthrop History and Heritage Center, 107 Main St. For information, call 207-395-5199. The center is open 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
