Wreaths laid at Togus National Cemetery during Wreaths Across America

Wreath-laying events across on Dec. 18, as part of the national Wreaths Across America event, resulted in more than 6,000 wreaths being placed on veterans’ graves across Kennebec County, including at Togus National Cemetery in Chelsea. There are two cemeteries on the Togus campus, with more than 5,700 graves. More than 125 volunteers participated in decorating the graves.
