BRIDGTON — Jen Fullmer will be the Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club guest speaker at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, via Zoom. Members can attend on Zoom or as part of the group at Stella’s on the Square.
Fullmer, a member of Biddeford-Saco Rotary, will discuss how he and her husband are helping an Afghan refugee family settle in Maine. She will tell the story of how so many of their former armed forces colleagues, working with their contacts in Afghanistan, were able to pull the family to safety just before the airport in Kabul closed.
Fullmer is making a plea of Rotary Clubs in District 7780 (southern Maine and coastal New Hampshire) to help buy computers for the family, so they can get certification in their professions.
