SOUTH PARIS — Oxford County Extension 4-H will hold an afternoon of snow-related craft and STEM activities for elementary school-age kids from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, at the extension office, 9 Olson Road.
Registration is required by Jan. 8. To register for the free workshop, click here. Masks are required, as is a parent or club volunteer to accompany children. Snow date is Sunday, Feb. 6.
Participants will explore some fun weather facts about snow, why some flakes are big and fluffy, others fall as a light powder, how snow forms and other weather phenomena. They may bring a favorite photo for creating their own snow globe, and there will be plenty of art and craft materials to work with and some take-home activities.
