BRIDGTON — Potter Traci Witham, of Waterford, has joined the artists at Gallery 302.
Witham says that growing up in a small upstate New York town set her roots in the wonders of nature. Her grandmother was an inspirational part of allowing her heart to grow and her love of nature to blossom. Witham has always appreciated the beauty and expression found in works of art. She studied photography, line drawing and charcoal sketching at the University of Maine.
Witham worked in retail management before being drawn back to art in 2015, and left a corporate career in 2021 to build a home studio. She now focuses full time on creating forms, accentuated by unique glaze combinations. Her art is made to be both visually appreciated and functional.
Witham lives in Waterford with her long-term partner, two dogs, 20 chickens and a rescue cat. They have four children in a blended family and their first grandchild is on the way.
Gallery 302 is at 112 Main St. For information, visit gallery302.com.
